Tenebrae exploration in numbers

After three weeks in the Tenebrae Sector is now time to go back home. I completed the mapping grid with some very intresting discoveries, I have found good resources for miners and biological and geological discoveries. But the sad news come from the est passage, there’s no passage in Tenebrae sector between the The Perseus Arm and The Sagittarius-Carina Arm, the systems density is poor and the distance too great. So here is the Tenebrae Passage Expedition in numbers.

Mission Objectives

  1. Mapping and exploration of the Tenebrae sector.
Finding and mapping new Earth like, water worlds or terraformable  worlds.
-Finding tritium overlapping spots for miners, very important for future mining expedition or refuel stations.
-Catalogue all geological and biological forms found on the way.
  2. Find a passage between The Perseus Arm and The Sagittarius-Carina Arm.

As we already told objective 2 failed, there’s no passage, no matter how many time you can waste searching, the distance is too great and the system density too low, there’s no bridge between the two arms, not in the Tenebrae Sector.

But with point 1 comes some big numbers and the expedition has been a great success delivering all these information.
So let’s start with some raw numbers about planets:

PLANET TYPE QUANTITY
Ammonia world 8
Belt Cluster 1.582
Class I gas giant 114
Class II gas giant 28
Class III gas giant 63
Class IV gas giant 7
Class V gas giant 0
Earth-like world 4
Gas giant with ammonia-based life 16
Gas giant with water-based life 33
Helium gas giant 0
Helium-rich gas giant 0
High metal content world 1.206
Icy body 1.695
Metal-rich body 44
Rocky body 511
Rocky ice world 192
Water giant 2
Water giant with life 0
Water world 69

All system names and generally all findings have been updated to the EDSM and EDDN and all other databases.

The two Earth-like worlds I have first discovered are:
Chanoa TC-U c19-0 A 1 and Dryue Flye IH-S d5-0 4

Speaking about stars, these are the numbers:

Wolf-Rayet WC star 0
Wolf-Rayet WN star 0
Wolf-Rayet WNC star 0
Wolf-Rayet WO star 0
Yellow Main Sequence G star 100

With 1000 stars discovered and scanned some are completely missing in this sector. My mapping grid has been made excluding T stars, Brown dwarfes, Class Nebula and T tauri stars, so their percentage is not real, but as you can see some stars are missing, no Black Holes and just 4 neutron stars is odd, they’re rare in this sector.

Again all data have been uploaded to databases.

Now let’s see the mining data:

I know it’s a huge quantity of data but I guess they could be helpful for someone. You can see all kind of materials, including many Tritium spots, but I just found one planet with a double Tritium hotspot planet Chanoa NI-B c16-0 1 ring B the ring also has some very interesting Voild Opal and LTD single hotspots. Also some notes on other systems:
Chanoa UQ-P c8-0 A 2 ring has 1 overlapping void opal and tritium and 1 LTD and tritium plus a lot of tritium and LTD and void opal spots.
Chanoa HV-O c22-0 11 A overlapping 2 void opal 1 tritium and not overlapping 1 void opal and 1 LTD
Chanoa FE-B c16-0 2 overlapping 2 void opal, and single spots, including tritium
Chanoa GN-N c9-0 2 overlapping 2 serendibite hotspot, overlapping platinum painite, overlapping platinum rhodplumsite
Chanoa DI-Q d6-3 1 overlapping Double platinum hotspot
Chanoa XS-U c5-0 6 has a double hotspot Tritium-LTD
Chanoa FG-G c13-0 4 has a double hotspot Tritium-LTD
Chanoa KP-M d8-2 4 ringB has a double Monazite hotspot
Dryue Flye ZP-I c12-0 2 has double Alexandrite hotspots and double Musgravite hotspots

The last focus of my exploration has been searching for biological and geological formation. Volcanism and geysers are everywhere, some planets are beautiful, like Dryue Flye VU-M d8-0 1, a sulfurush and landable planet with geysers and an amazing planetary ring, for a great camping night. So I’ll only list here some of the biological life form I’ve met in Tenebra, leaving geological for EDSM:
